The Visionaries Behind WEBEK Studios
Esse Akwawa, CEO and Co-Founder, brings over a decade of experience in film and television production, having led acclaimed projects such as The Decolonisation of Africa and The Order of Things (Netflix). She envisions WEBEK Studios as a driving force in expanding African storytelling beyond borders.
Bizzle Osikoya, a seasoned Music Executive and Film Enthusiast, co-founded the studio to merge his passion for visual storytelling with his deep-rooted influence in Nigeria’s entertainment industry. As Director of Partnerships, he focuses on connecting African creatives with global opportunities.
Edith Nwekenta, an award-winning producer and director, oversees the studio’s creative vision. With an impressive portfolio spanning Netflix, BBC, and Channel 4, she ensures that WEBEK Studios delivers captivating and culturally rich stories.
